• Your class – Perhaps there is are other students who are shy to ask during the class.
• Lecturer – Letting him/her know the subject area in which need to pay attention.

If there are not questions raised in class it could mean to things:

• The class already understood it well.
• The opposite, the class do not understand anything at all. And yes, lecturer can be ignorant and assume.

Don’t ASSUME. Because it makes an ASS out of U and ME

Well, we already know that but how many of us — if you are still studying — lightly raise your hand and ask questions in class. 1/50 maybe.

Besides, today I learn that some lecturers refuses to answer your question personally if he believes that your question might be useful to the whole class. I raised a question to him and that was his respond. And I am gladly going to ask him in the next class, next week.

• It is made to replace my old table-based website – Yes, I was a table-based web designer.

Sadly, it is not as famous as these websites (Chris Pirillo, Abduzeedo, fubiz, JCD, and David Airey) nor it ever listed in any smashing magazine posts. But I believe that one day, I will be one. I am signing off hoping that it will be the winner for the Best Clean & Minimalist category for Best WordPress Design Award organized by WP WebHost.

• Management: Be SMART in every objective I made. Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time-specific. To do this, I will start on filing all mini and major project properly.
• Finance: Manage my finance properly and keep track on all online and offline transactions. I’ve learn a lot from my mistakes this year. Soon after I started to use Freshbooks, I feel more confident and organized – at the same time it is more professional.

• Travel: I’ve almost finished my UK tour, this new year I would like to travel to European countries such as Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Finland, Swiss and more. I want to learn how to travel and see the world.
• Websites: At the moment, I run lensa.co.uk, tutorial.iluvislam.com, isacstudio.com other than my personal website. I hope to be more productive in design and managing several websites at the same time. Time management is very crucial and I am determine to improve it this year.
• University and career: As one of the top students that has been selected and sent to UK, I believe it is unfair for me to not be excel in my studies. I will try hard to make sure I can gain 1st Class Honour degree every semester to increase the chance to work with my sponsor, PETRONAS.
• Personal: Become a better person to HIM, my family, friends, people and all living things.

The open house was held last Saturday (12 October) and I really enjoy the food besides I got the chance to meet up with new friends. Later that day, I met with Shamin and stay overnight at his house. We had a coffee at Starbucks and talk about life and design. I really enjoy the conversation we had and personally he encourages me to be more passionate in design as well as in my studies.

That morning before I head back to Cardiff, I went to the Design Museum. It is located at Shad Thames, few steps away from the Tower Bridge (click here for map).

During my visit, the are Design Cities and Alan Aldridge – The Man With Kaleidoscope Eyes exhibitions. It is really interesting in terms of design and engineering as well. Now I see in front of my eyes that as a designer, you are not only looking in terms of how the product look like but the more important thing is how will the product being engineered or produce. You don’t want you design being rejected due to the high cost of production, do you? Since I’m studying engineering, I believe that I have the advantage compared to other designer. Might be not now, but in the future hopefully.

Just before I got back, I visited the shop to buy some souveniers. In the point of view of someone who has a strong passion on design, this is a must-go-shop. Oh, and one more thing… Please bring some extra cash because you might feel like you want to buy everything there.

*P/S: Since I’m a member if this museum, I can bring a friend to come inside for free. Just give a shout if you would like me to bring you there. ;)
