This is a story that I write to let you know the ABC of my career path as a designer. Trust me, it all begin with the letter W for WordPress and even though I start it with A, it is all begin from bottom. Because from bottom, you climb up to the top and chase your dream.

Thank you WordPress!

A for Accessibility

I don’t quite understand the term accessibility until I read about the article by northtemple, Accessibility to the Face. Did it hit you?

B for <br />

Break. I learn to hate it. But I come to know, to saperate them, style the tag <p> with a padding. That will do the job hopefully. If you have a better suggestion, please let me know as I’m still learning though.

C for Cascading Style Sheet

I realized that I know nothing about it until I came across CSS-Tricks by Chris Coyier.

D for Digital Arts

Who says paper is dead? Besides good articles, they also provide free royalty free images that I can use. Get yours now!

E for Espresso

I fall in love with Espresso soon I bought it via MacHeist Bundle 3 and I am loving it!

F for FireFox, FireFTP and FireBug

These three applications are flaming hot! Poor you if you haven’t try them.

G for Google

This internet gaga has long exist. After Google has been registered as a verb they continue to produce free products for people of the world to use for free. Google Webmaster, Google Local Business Center, Google Analytics – for your website and business.

H for Hope

The desire to help and I hope it echoes.

I for iMac

I love the day when I received my Mac and since that day, whenever I go anywhere, I run (like Forrest Gump). 150% guarantee increased in efficiency! Do you know that if you’re a student, if you buy from today until 8th September 2009, you don’t just get a student discount but also and iPod Touch!

j for jQuery

Intentionally I lowercase the letter J because jQuery is so cool! Though I find working with Joomla is fine.

K for King

I learned that content is king.

L for Luck

Do you need luck? Personally, I do.

M for MooTools

Well, I actually tried to use MooTools before jQuery and Mamboed before Joomla. But none of them that I use anymore because you learn to choose the one that suits you well.

N for NetTuts+

Amazingly inspiring articles, resources and tutorials! It’s my breakfast.

O for Open Interview

From the basis of sharing, I have lauched Open Interview #1 and #2. The idea of sharing is one of the factor that brought me this far.

P for Photoshop

Do You Suck at Photoshop?

R for Readability

I went to meet with my tutor, Din Amri and he told me that old people need will get angry if you use light grey and white. So, he told me to use at least #222 for my color properties in CSS. Now that is only 1 ppm in the subject of Readability.

S for Smashing Magazine

They smashed my life for good. They don’t ask you to think outside the box, they take you out of the box!

T for Twitter

Have you read my twitter story?

U for User Interface

Such an interesting topic. I like to read The Elegance of Imperfection by David Sherwin.

V for Veerle

I’m jealous!

W for WordPress, W for WooThemes, W for the Winner!

I know nothing about WordPress because I use blogspot. Is Then I am looking for a theme. Then I want to design one. Then I learn XHTML and CSS. Then I found WooThemes. Then I design one. Then I found WPWebHost. Then start to realize, I live in the Wonderful World of WordPress.

Written by compiled by myself as my ABC ground to up story for the WPWebHost Storytelling Competition.

I have got about less than 30 days thus I try to understand the word viral in terms of design and how it could effect people and even business. Below are updates after 5 days. As of today, people stop and taking pictures of it!

Day 1: I put up the poster on my windows. It was sunny and I thought it is a perfect day to put it up.

Day 2: It was raining but I could hear from inside people start to mention the word “design”.

Day 3: Two interesting things happened:

A breakfast bar,Cafe 37 in front of my house pasted their menu on their window.

Someone call me for an urgent work. Design!

Day 4: It is raining again and I heard few the word “web design, graphic design” being mentioned. Happy? I am. But this time Cafe 37 took off their menu of their window. Fail? Not yet.

Day 5: Again, two interesting things happened:

Someone call me for a meeting next Friday. Design!

Again, Cafe 37 pasted their menu on their window.

After 20 days, I will take my poster off my windows and I will fly back to my home – Malaysia.
